The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra/Alliance Theatre
“The Remarkable Farkle McBride”
Animation of client-provided 2D artwork
During its Spring 2012 season, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and Alliance Theatre Company (ATC) teamed up to bring youth audiences a live-action multi-media adaptation of the award winning children’s book “The Remarkable Sparkle McBride.” Penned and narrated by celebrated actor John Lithgow and illustrated by C.F. Payne, the story follows the adventures of musical child prodigy, Farkle McBride, and has been used by orchestras around the globe to introduce young people to live classical performance. Five animated sequences were created from the book’s original artwork and used as a large-format projected background during performances.
