Gender
& age: Male, and getting older all the time.
Birthplace:
Fairbanks, Alaska.
Marital
status: Single
First
comic you remember: An old issue of the Fantastic
Four by John Byrne. I think it was set during the whole
Secret Wars thing, and involved the Thing fighting the
Frankenstein monster and the werewolf.
Your
comics dream job: I would write an extremely dark,
intense take on Ghost Rider. It’d be fun to take
a crack at Werewolf By Night, too.
Your
comics influences & heroes: Garth Ennis’s
original runs on Hellblazer and the Demon, Mark Waid
on Captain America, Mark Millar on the Authority, Swamp
Thing, and Superman: Red Son, Geoff Johns on JSA and
the Flash, and most of what Warren Ellis has done. And
of course Frank Miller, Alan Moore, and Art Spiegelman.
You gotta mention those guys.
Cats
or dogs: I like dogs, but cats are good eating.
Favorite
EVOLUTION story you didn't write or draw: I’d
have to say Just Playing Cards . . . no, wait, I mean
Dead Man’s Hand . . . um, The Wager? . . . Western
Horror? . . . no, "Art of the Deal." Yeah,
that one.
You
spot a person very attractive to you. Then he or she
says or does something, or you notice something about
him/her, that completely turns you off. What is it?:
She opens her mouth and speaks in a thick, high-pitched,
Valley Girl accent.
Your
weirdest hobby: Well, I buy these color and b/w,
22 page pamphlets, read them, and then stick them away
in plastic bags. Strange, I know.
Your
3 favorite movies: L.A. Confidential, Highlander,
Hellraiser, and old John Woo films.
If
you could start a fashion trend, what would it be?
Everyone would be wearing t-shirts with comic book characters
on them.
Your
comics pet peeve: When nothing actually happens
in a comic, or when I can read it all in under two minutes.
One
superpower you'd like to have: I’d split myself
into doubles, like Multiple Man.
Betty
or Veronica? Veronica . . . if she were an art school
type, read a lot, and liked horror movies.
What
was your first original comic or character and how old
were you when you created them?
The earliest one I can recall is Nightkill, the dark
magic ninja and kicker of much ass. At night. I was
. . . 12, maybe?
